COGR has updated the Summary of Recent Updates to the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy that was published on December 16, 2024. The updated version reflects additional information and clarifications provided by NIH on December 31, 2024 in response to COGR inquiries sent before the holidays. This additional information and clarifications are very helpful to institutions because they more narrowly define the scope of projects to which the new developer terms will apply.
The original Summary has been updated to reflect this additional information and major changes to the Summary are highlighted in yellow.
